About Me

Welcome! I am so glad you are here. My name is Toni Stirtz. I am a special education teacher and educational therapist who specializes in helping students with dyslexia and dysgraphia. I have trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach which is a multi-sensory approach to teaching literacy. I have a Master's degree in Special Education from Georgia State University. I have lived overseas for 18 years and now live in Nairobi Kenya. I have been teaching and tutoring  for 13 years. I have worked with children as young as five and as old as sixteen.

I love to see the "light go on" for kids. I have worked in schools as a teacher and have homeschooled my own boys. I currently work as an online educational therapist for Worldwide Speech, which helps families around the world meet the  special educational needs of their children.

In my online sessions, I use SMART board materials to facilitate learning. I live and work in Nairobi Kenya but have helped kids in Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia. I love to help kids with dyslexia and dysgraphia.  Part of good teaching is using great materials. It is my passion to help classroom teachers and homeschool teachers use teaching methods and materials that work. I hope you find help and inspiration from my articles and products. Please feel free to contact me with questions. I am here to help.
